A lot of people have memories of their grandmother canning up jars of vegetables, jams and jellies, and broth. They recall the pantry having shelves lined with clear jars of food – all processed from whole foods and ready to be opened and eaten. Many have the desire to do the same types of things but give themselves a million and one excuses – especially when it comes to pressure canning. The biggest reason? Fear.
Homestead Dreamer used to be one of those people. She got over her fear and worries by starting out with water bath canning and working her way up. She did research online and watched some videos, along with asking people who canned their own food. In roughly a year, she went from a 100% newbie to a confident canner and share with us how she did it!
